EeStairs + Just Architects

AFAS Software’s impressive Experience Centre at Leusden in The Netherlands is composed of several connected buildings, a theatre, and a sports pavilion. We also think of this massive complex as an experience centre for our stairs, because we made and installed several here, in collaboration with AFAS’s designers, Steef van der Veldt and Just Architects.

The unique thing about the stairs at AFAS is that there are almost no straight lines and, as a result, their elegant and adventurous geometries are a feast for the eyes. The single most striking staircase is the white steel spiral in the glass-domed theatre building. These stairs, with glass balustrades and our seamless, geometrically accurate EeSoffit™ creates a truly dramatic architectural effect.

EeStairs also prepared and installed many curved glass elements for other stairs and voids, and fitted existing concrete stairs with glass balustrades. This requires great precision in fabrication and fitting, and ensures that the stairs’ seams and metal connectors are completely concealed.
