An office situated across two floors in one of London’s newest commercial properties, White Collar Factory, required a feature staircase linking the spaces.

HLW designed the staircase incorporating two mid landings, one with seating, a facetted steel balustrade, floor edge balustrade featuring a bar and a layered soffit.

The staircase’s balustrade is a mixture of solid and perforated panels rising and falling with the staircase. A challenge associated with the design was the balustrade having depth creating faceted panels; this kind of infill is supported on balusters – which in turn also support the oak handrails.
